Bio-based Hybrid Compounds
GEMA has developed Biobased Hybrid Compounds to reduce the consumption of fossil-based plastics. In addition to fossil-based polymers, these compounds contain starch, wood flour, agricultural residues and biopolymers, depending on the series.

- Renewable content up to 50% wt
- OK BIOBASED certified (depends on grade)
- Suitable for food contact applications
Sustainability
- Biobased carbon content is estimated according to EN 16640 and ASTM D 6866.
- Renewable raw materials reduce the overall carbon footprint.
